Fiona had her 4 month check up today!
She is 24.5” and weighs 11 Lb 15 Oz.
The doctor was very happy to see Fiona! I honestly think the doctor’s day was made
with our little visit. The Doctor and Fiona were both all smiles! She said Fiona is so beautiful and she is so
smart! We are in for it! We said, “…yep... we figured that one out!”
The best part of any visit with your baby and their
pediatrician is always hearing that your child is healthy and right on track,
if not doing exceedingly well. Which is what we were thankfully told. The second best part of our appointment today is the following: Just as I finished telling our pediatrician that she can almost roll over, but not quite - FIONA ROLLED OVER FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! No kidding. It was a really great moment!
Her pediatrician reassured us that Fiona is doing great in height
and weight because she was so small when she was born. She also reassured us that everything we are
doing everything as we should be doing, which again, is something every parent wants to
hear.
She advised that we wait to try cereal until she is about 5 months old since she is doing so well with Breast milk. That made me happy! I wasn't ready to give her rice cereal yet, and had already thought I would rather wait just a little bit longer. She also advised not to give her baby food until 6 months. We told her we will wait until her 6 month check up and start giving her baby food after her next appointment.
Last portion of her visit today was shots. Those dreadful, dreadful shots. She took an oral vaccination and three shots
to her thighs. Fiona turned bright red
and cried. But once she was in the car seat she was fine. Little Fiona is a
trooper! She was all smiles during our
shopping trip in Sprouts! When we got
home the first thing she did when we set her down on her mat was roll over
again! This time I got pictures!
Jason and I are in for it indeed: Fiona is beautiful, incredibly intelligent,
and tough as nails. I admire her
already! (If you couldn't tell…I really
love my kid.)
I am so proud of her!
Cheers!
