The Mulligan Conclusion

Another fantastic day under the belt for the Lentz family!
Yesterday, Jason and I were able to get up and going to early church service for the first time in a little while.  Afterwards we caught wind his parents were at California Adventure so we met with them for lunch at Radiator Springs and Ghirardelli Ice Cream for dessert.   Jason and I were able to feel satisfied after splitting lunch and dessert; it is a great cheap date.  If you have the opportunity to check out the new Cars Land area in California Adventure, I highly suggest you do so ASAP because it is awesome.  It was our first time there since it reopened in June so we area going to go back and make a day of it.
After we had our fill in ice cream we met back at his parents house for a great family dinner.  His dad is one of the best chefs in town!  He made pulled pork, coleslaw, and a great baked mac n’ cheese.  I definitely had thirds…
The best part of the day was scoring a new bed set from his mom.  It is super cute, quilted, and will liven up our bedroom with some feminity.  She hasn’t used in the past couple years and is pleased that it will be revived in our home.  I am very excited to iron it and replace our old comforter with it.  When you get married quickly and without a reception, it takes a while longer for you and your spouse to recreate all  the looks in your home.  The bedroom and towels are pretty much the last things we needed to square away.  Now, all I need to do is start on a new towel set to match our bathroom. Yay!
All in all, a very, very fun day.  Last night we got home after I was dunked under water in the spa that I was trying to not get wet from.  I was a little over exhausted to write and edit a blog post by the time I got home.  I wrote a draft but during revisement I could barely read back what I wrote.  Last night was my one mulligan. Cheers!
