Happy Day After Halloween!

     November 1st, 2013.

Can you believe Halloween is behind us?  Neither can I.  We as a little family had the absolute best time yesterday.

First of all, this Halloween was the perfect Fall day.  It was windy, leaves were continuing to turn more orange and red and the leaves were falling and trees were rapidly becoming barren.  On top of that, I for the first time in my life, had to slow the Jeep down as a tumbleweed rolled from one field on the left of the road to the field on the right side of the road.

Fiona and I had a great day.  She was a snugglebug and we watched The Nightmare Before Christmas.  I told her this is a tradition in our little Lentz family and this is year 1: very momentous.

Jason got off at 4 and the relaxing day became busy and even more awesome.  I changed, Fiona got changed, Daddy changed, and we were off to the the Recreational Center here in Sterling.

The Journal Advocate listed an article on their website that contained all sorts of kid friendly activities in the shops downtown, at the Rec Center, and that at the NJC.  We went to the Rec Center and were able to enjoy the Spooky Farm.  There were volunteers from one of the high school groups in town who dressed up as cowboys, cowgirls, and farm animals and handed out candy throughout the maze of the Spooky Farm.  All the girls sucked the air out of the room every time they saw Little Miss Fiona.  "OH MY GOSH!  SHE IS THE MOST PERFECT LITTLE LAMB!"    and She was!

Fiona had an absolute blast watching all the kids and Jason and I had a great time experiencing Halloween through the eyes of our innocent child.

Another great part about Halloween were three women dressed up as Duck Dynasty!  (Notice the Si cup.)  It was awesome.  I freaking love Duck Dynasty.  And I loved them.  One of the women commended Jason for having a beard because she said, "This beard is so itchy!!!"  Jason advised to wear it for 2 weeks, after that point, you are passed the itchy phase... !

What a perfect Halloween.

The night even ended perfectly with trick or treating at our neighbors house and Grammy and Papa's who had Clam Chowder all ready by the time we got home.  At this point I should give a shout out that my Dad in Law makes the BEST Clam Chowder.  Forget the Wharf.  Buy a plane ticket to try his Clam Chowder.  It is so goood.

Well.  We had a great Halloween.  Probably the best in history.

I hope yours was spooky and lovely.

Cheers!
