2 Weeks of Madness Recap

Hello Friends.  How I have missed you.

Let me, quickly, give you a recap of the last 2 weeks!

First of all - we are renting a beautiful duplex that is 3 bedrooms 1 bath and was built in 1918.  It is so perfect for us.  We decided against buying a house on a Saturday and decided to rent this one the next day.  We spent that week painting the bedrooms white and packing our things (again) and moved in that following Friday.  We spent that weekend unpacking and getting settled and really just kind of relaxing because we finally knew where we would be for at least the next year and probably more.  BTW - I have no pictures of the house yet.  On top of everything my iPhone has been glitching since the ios7 software update and has gotten to be almost altogether unusable, which means there has been no picture taking from me.  Wonderful - I know.  So as soon as I can get some good pictures I will share them in a post.

So lets see.  We are now brought up to last week's Monday.  Fiona and I spent Monday - Wednesday unpacking and cleaning and acclimating as did Jason when he wasn't working his tail off at work.  Then Thursday was Thanksgiving and we spent that weekend with his side of the family every day.  His sister from Oceanside was in town with her whole gang of kids and hubster.

The best news of all is that on Sunday Fiona cut her first tooth!  On the bottom.  So cute.

On Friday she started to come down with a fever and runny nose and by Sunday the day she cut her first tooth as well as starting to show the signs of Pink Eye.  This last Monday (this week, the day after this Sunday.)  I took her to the Family Clinic, where we had never been, thinking it was Urgent Care.  And its not.  But, a wonderful doctor said he would see us anyways.  (Praise God).

During her appointment he told me that she has a fever, she has a slight virus, she has secondary conjunctivitis ( meaning she came into contact with someone who has Pink Eye.) and she also has an ear infection in her left ear.  So Fiona, who has NEVER, been sick before, got totally beat over with a drum, a stick, and a couple rocks too.  My poor Baby Ona!

The truly amazing thing is that despite Fiona being sick, she is lively, and happy, and full of smiles and hugs and personality.  So now that I am sick, I look at her and think man I need to be a trooper like Fiona.  She is amazing.

There are actually quite a few other things that went on the last 2 weeks, especially with Jason and all the things he is doing right now, but I think I have shared enough with you all to see the reason for my absence.

But, we are really becoming acclimated to our new home now so with that I tell you I am back once again.  I think a crochet post is next up on the list.

Cheers!
